Dark dryads and dark aboms are the preferable targets of a proper mauler since they can't up their health and you can clear a base of them, even with a skill set like either that you have invisible potion/ww to the base, invulnerable potion when there, clear out dark dryads for free. Dark mortars however are IMO the best unit against maulers. High health, ranged, ability to work in tandem with Newt to remove maulers from the face of the planet.
good point. invul potions run out after 15 seconds tho. if somebody does that to me. i pop scroll of speed and start running units around and around till invul ends sig in construction

Tichmerz+incinirate in begining is good and in late it is still good because of aura. Well, crit+splash... i dk.. Rly, just 50% cleave is weak, you'd better take tichmerz + cleave then. Almost the same dammge increase on high lvl when unit armor is about 60% and also aura will grant your teching alies a great oportunity to mt to you and rape.

It depends on the order of calculations actually, if it determines damage recieved by unit --> cleave then it's using a greater number to start with. If it's attack number pre-armor --> cleave then it has no effect. Evasion + avatar is incredibly powerful. I however disagree Cheesy, Divine shield allows a mauler to be a greater threat for a larger % of the time late game, evasion does nothing to deal with spells so you still have more down time instead of killing time.
oh.. then i think i got wrong about tichmerz and cleave. Thought that dammage that will be daeled to other units ignores armor, but is based one the damage you deal to the first unit you hit, and this first hit includes armor. I' ll try it in game to make sure. Cause i usually run tichmerz+incinirate, and they stack rly well.
