| TL;DR version for people too lazy to read the other thread:
Problems with ELO (skip this part if you already think ELO is broken):
- People are boosting their main accounts by cheating the system and using alts with poor records to help their mains level up faster
- Losing a game to pubs overly-punishes punishes players and winning against pros under-rewards, making it too difficult to raise your elo without massing games
- Discourages pro players from playing against eachother because they're afraid to risk their ELO
- CHF is an FFA gametype so ELO doesn't work as well as it does in games like DOTA
- It encourages stacking and admin abuse.Teams aren't balanced, they're either random or controlled by stacking admins
The Solution:
- Two bots with two seperate ELO ladders: Tier 2 bot for beginners, and Tier 1 bot that requires at least 25 wins and 1000+ ELO (so 0-0 alt accounts can't join) for more skilled players.
- ELO cap on the Tier 2 bot at 1300 so players would have little incentive to keep playing on it and they would be pressured to come to the new bot.
- Our one ClanHPMM bot fills so fast it will be better to have two bots so they fill at a more normal pace
- Pros are bored of destroying pubs and pubs don't like getting destroyed every game so we need to separate these two groups of players as it is in both of their best interests
- It will give a more accurate measure of who the best players are, instead of who can just mass the most games and pub stomp
- It will get rid of alt accounts
- If the Tier 1 bot isn't filling fast enough we can lower requirements to 5 wins and 900+ELO
- F00ty also suggested to shuffle players every game but people won't like this because they want to play with their friends

| I like the 2 tier system too.
Also I will ask Random to add a loss cap. So you don't lose 30 elos per loss. Just maybe 5-10 elos is enough per average loss

Also for people who quote for "Get rid of the ELO system entirely" won't change the fact that pubs are disgusted to play vs pro cheap tactic

How did i admit defeat? lol i support option 6 as its already been proven to work well on ent's ltd bots. Plus it was already discussed. And that post i made on the other thread wasnt me backing elo it was stating how it was meant to work in theory, if ppl didnt abuse the system.

i was close to done but then holidays were busy and a flood happened and i have had almost no free time to get around on the computer to finish it lately. Just to be safe i wont say anything more about it till im about to actually release it.
