wow when i started watching it was at 54,376 views and when i was done its at 114,629 views now.. pretty quick.
It's more, because Youtube thinks that all the views are spam views, so it's holding back the view counter. If you see the number of likes on the video, it's at 200,000 + right now, more views than the video. My guess is that the real view count is at 1 million + right now.
This is so annoying. My Facebook and Twitter feeds are blowing up with hate for this guy from people who likely just heard about him yesterday. Where were all these people back in 2005? "being admin on a forum is NOT a super power" - lSpiderl

Surely it's a good thing though. The fact that it's filling our social network pages means that the purpose of this video, to raise people's awareness and gain support for the benefit of the children, is working. I knew that Kony was on the ICC's most wanted for the child soldiers, but not much more than that. So this video served its purpose for me
hmm come to think of it.. i didnt even have a facebook back in 2005.. it was like just starting out i think, and gay myspace was the main social app back then which sucked. lol

totally agree with u, all my friends are wannabe hipsters, it appears. they dont know shit about whats going on and just mass spam the links thinking they are original and cool and thats it, just spam the link. they do absolutely nothing nor actually know whats going on, its sad. this shit will continue to happen in africa no matter what though http://chf.ucoz.com/forum/71-3499-61942-16-1396993348
I think you guys got the wrong end of the stick lol. I suppose it doesn't matter if these guys actually care for it or not, every part of it is helping the kids who are suffering.

unfortunately, i have a different opinion on this. every1 is waiting for someone else to actually do something about it and just share/spam the make kony famous message. its like in psychology class, when the whole someone getting hurt or dying, every1 expects someone else to call or have made the call http://chf.ucoz.com/forum/71-3499-61942-16-1396993348
Kind of sad nobody knew about this guy ten years ago or before that...
thats my exact point, no one really cared what was going on outside of their general area, i dont even really care that much, i mean its sad but it doesnt immediately affect me nor any1 that i know. most ppl are hoppin on the bandwagon, thats all. yes, its building awareness, but thats it, just awareness... http://chf.ucoz.com/forum/71-3499-61942-16-1396993348
The individual who uploaded the video has now pocketed $40 000 for the views and advertising. Invisible Children, the organization which sponsored the video, spends $9 million a year. Only 31% actually goes to their cause, and they refuse to submit to an external audit. Said organization supports the militarization of Uganda against Kony's forces, which will vindicate, ironically, soldiers as young as 12.
I don't have a problem with awareness being raised for this cause. What I do have a problem with is people blindly trying to be a 'social activist' by sharing a video on Facebook or putting #Kony2012 at the end of their tweets. It's not like Kony is going to flee Uganda due to all the bad press via social media. Sadly, many of my good friends have been complacent to the trend. It sucks.
