Custom Hero Footies Tournament of Champions Reborn! Created and Directed by Cyray@USEAST Support from Bond009, Cou, and Random260 THE TOURNAMENT IS CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS NOW!
All rules are subject to change according to the discretion of the tournament director.
Normal. No modes except -pool off. Modes like CTF, SSD, FTD, ARS, and Classic are not allowed.
3v3v3v3 Tournament. Two teams will be official teams registered in the tournament. The other two teams will be pub teams. We will have two tournament teams and two pub teams because it is too difficult to get 12 people on four teams organized at the same time due to scheduling conflicts. The winning team advances. If the pub team wins, a rematch is conducted until one of the two tournament teams is victorious. This is unlikely to be a problem since the teams in the tournament will be a lot stronger than the pub teams. Downloaders (i.e. pubs who haven't played a single game and are downloading the map) aren't allowed to play. This tournament formatting is necessary, and the reasons why it is being done this way (with two teams of pubs, as opposed to a full inhouse) has been explained extensively in the FAQ section below.
If, however, both teams consent to a 3v3 match, or a 3v3v3v3 with bots match instead of 3v3v3v3 with pubs, then the match will not have pubs.
Double-elimination tournament. -Short explanation: Lose once, and you're still in it. Lose twice, and you're out for good.-Long explanation: A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost two games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination. A double-elimination tournament is broken into two sets of brackets, the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket (W and L Brackets for short). After the first round, the winners proceed into the W Bracket and the losers proceed into the L Bracket. The W Bracket is conducted in the same manner as a single-elimination tournament, except of course that the losers of each round "drop down" into the L Bracket. Put simply, you have to lose two games in order to be fully eliminated from the tournament. Each round of the L Bracket is conducted in two stages, the first stage consisting of the winners of the previous stage (or losers of the very first round of competition) playing their matches, the second stage consisting of the winners of the first stage against the losers of that same round of the W Bracket playing their matches. This is to allow the losers of each stage of the W Bracket to "filter down" into the L Bracket. For example, in an eight-competitor double-elimination tournament, the losers of the first round enter the first stage of the L Bracket – the L Bracket quarterfinals – and compete against each other. The losers are eliminated, while the winners proceed to the second stage of the L Bracket – the L Bracket semifinals – to face the losers of the W Bracket semifinals. The winners of the L Bracket semifinals proceed to the L Bracket finals, with the winner of that game being the Losers' Bracket champion. The championship finals of a double elimination tournament is set up to be a possible two games. The rationale is that since the tournament is indeed double elimination, it is unfair to have the Winners' Bracket champion eliminated with its first loss. Therefore, while the Winners' Bracket champion needs to beat the Losers' Bracket champion only once to win the tournament, the Losers' Bracket champion must beat the Winners' Bracket champion twice.
You may not play on more than one team.
Matches will be played on ClanHPMM bot.
The first two rounds are a best of 1. The next two rounds are a best of 3. The finals are up to 4 games depending on how it plays out as explained above.
Seeds will be determined based on players skill, according to the expert opinions of xMoNsTeRRR and CyRay. People from similar geographical regions will face each other in the earlier rounds, so that the time zones work out for everyone and there is as little lag as possible.
Loading stats code is allowed.
No alt accounts.
The Championship match will be livestreamed over the internet (on a website like justin.tv or ustream) and will have color commentary and play by play announcements by Trixxisforkids
2 Heroing and 1 Heroing is not allowed. Every team must have three heroes at the start of mass. Mass pooling, however, is allowed.
Maphacking is not allowed. CyRay will be checking all replays for maphack and Bond will be helping too when necessary. Once your game has ended, please upload the replays to Mediafire and post them in this thread or PM them to Cyray. Bond has an unbeatable maphack detection program. If you maphack, you will be banned from the tournament and your team will receive a loss. Your team, however, will not be banned from the tournament.
If you glitch, you will also be banned. This includes the spell changing glitch, donation glitch, gold/wood hack, recipe glitch, secret shop glitch, potion of focus glitch, interchange glitch, and others not listed. Destroying people's items is not allowed. Stealing things from people's shops is allowed, however.
If you disconnect/desync/lag out from a game after mass has started, the game will not stop. This is to prevent people from disconnecting themselves from the internet if they are losing a game. However, if someone from the winning team disconnects, and they feel that there is no way they would have lost that game if not for the fact that they disconnected, then Bond and I will review the replay. If Bond and I agree that there was absolutely no way that this team could have lost besides due to d/c, then a rematch will be played between the two teams. If, however, a "desync" happens to multiple players at the same time and it is clearly the bot's fault, a rematch will be played.
If you are in the tournament (whether you have already been eliminated or not), you are NOT allowed to play on any team (as fake "pubs") in any official tournament games. This is to prevent teams from cheating and teaming up against their enemies. If you are caught playing on alts (IPs will be checked) then you will be banned.
Game Settings and Banned Items, Spells, and Creeps (IMPORTANT!):
Normal. No modes except -pool off. Modes like CTF, SSD, FTD, ARS, and Classic are not allowed.
All games MUST be -pool off. This is to make other strategies viable besides mass pool tech.
Donation is banned, but only on your first hero. You are allowed to pick a second hero with donation later on in the game.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: This tournament is very similar to the last one WITH A MAJOR DIFFERENCE: YOU DO NOT ENTER AS A FULL TEAM. YOU ENTER AS EITHER A TEAM CAPTAIN OR A DRAFTABLE PLAYER, AND BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS TEAM CAPTAINS WILL TAKE TURNS DRAFTING PLAYERS ONTO THEIR TEAM. This means there is no TAS, TDT, FTL, or APF premade teams in this tournament. Anyone can draft anyone.
srry Cyray, i do not understand this part.. Can you explain me in another way please?
@Should the tournament be run with pool on or off? pool on!

I WILL TRY EN ESPANOL! :
no se puede entrar el torneo con un equipo. Entras SOLO. Puedes ser un Capitan o un Jugador normal. Los capitanes se turnan escogiendo jugadores por su equipo. name: james mcgovern

But that's a bad idea... not all the players are on good terms.. some of them are hated, and others are not on good terms with anybody why not to do in entire teams as before?
Sorry for my English

1) because its more fun to mix up the teams. imagine an epic game of roystom cou and secret name vs soundwaves f00ty r3b0rn and bond. would be interesting. also it will be fun to see who people draft first
2) because most of the teams have broken up to some degree. f00ty left tas, tdt is dead, soundwaves nihob osetinas broke up.
3) if you dont like someone dont draft them, simple as that. but if you want the strongest team possible you will put your differences aside and draft the best player.
Added (04-Feb-2014, 8:12 PM) --------------------------------------------- it will also give players a chance to do well even if they dont already have a team.
there are lots of good solo players who arent on a team, so it sto be fair to them.
also this will make the teams more balanced, since right now the game is dominated by TAS TDT FTL and APF only...
