Nobody in the history of NBA save Wilt Chaimberlain and Kareem Abdul Jabar were anything as close to as good as KobeBryantt He will pass MJ in points no doubt. He is the best clutch player in basketball history save Reggie Miller. And he has led the best team to 5 championships. now find me someone as good as him. And if you say LeBron is more athletic now then kobe ever was then watch this

McGrady possibly the most talented ever and LeBron may be the best ever overall. But for now yeah Kobe's top 5 easily, good argument for top 3 and may be the best ever

Lebron will never reach 30k points. he will never play 17 years. Kobe is on pace to break all time scoring record. and as for mcgrady, i like him and he was good, but like chipper jones, he was killed by injuries. Kobe is also better due to the fact that for the last 13 years he has played through a consantly sprained and broken finger(if you dont believe me just watch a lakers game).

Well he's at nearly 20k, and is on pace to surpass Kobe as the youngest to 30k in just 13 seasons.

hes a very talented African.

You dont have to say african, because there are no talented <any other race>

Also you can't compare the best players of two different eras because the game is different in both years. The teams are different the players are different hell there are even different rules different honor rules (like pulling players based on behaviors etc.)

But you can objectively say that Jordan, Abdul-Jabbar, Chamberlain, Malone, and Bryant are the best shooters ever (to have completed or essentially completed careers) and that Lebron is on pace to be the youngest player to hit 30000. Those are facts

... the best scorers are not the best shooters. abdul chaimberlain and malone were all terrible shooters :P.

and i know this seems like i get my arguments off facebook, but lebron is not clutch at all. he will not win 5+ rings. he only has 3 mvps because of voter bias. he should only have 1 of them. 1 year durant should have gotten it(last year). and the other, cp3 shoulda had it.
kobe will set the all time scoring record i assure you. lebron probably will hit 30k, but he wont go far over. he most likely will not be able to change his game as much as kobe, because he doesnt have the defensive skills or the shooting game kobe has/had. he will hit 30k maybe around age 32, but after he hits age 34 he'll probably be non existent in scoring. his game is power, which you lose over age. unless he can learn to shoot he'll stop scoring.

Again that has nothing to do with the skill level of the player..

lol not true at all people can hit there prime in power in their late 30's or some even early 40's

name 1 player that maintained a power game past age 33. and dunk contests dont count towards proving anything so dont go looking up Spud Webb for me.

it does when you're the instigator to each of them. people hail phil jackson as an amazing coach and all, but on each of his teams he had 2 of the best players in the history of the game, both top 10. and dont say shaq led kobe to championships either. that was all kobe during his prime, and shaq is another example of someone who couldnt keep scoring cause he lost his power game.
