Fiat buying Chrysler from Mercedes

i was never aware that chrysler was owned by mercedes in the recent pass. . . i knew dodge owned and lost it when bailed out to the united auto workers or some similar type of union. they then wanted to go public and fiat did not want this. they tried to force fiat into buying them out at a high price which was ridiculous as fiat knew its worth. i believe fiat told them to fk off and threatened to pull out of the partnership. . . that is the last time i looked into how they were doing
