https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-....p8+lite

For the price, it has some extra-ordinarily good reviews.
Just make sure it SUPPORTS 4g LTE in YOUR area (and the area you are traveling too)

Quote
"Please be aware that unlike black color model, white one is not a U.S. model. The black phone is truly ALE-L04 model
configured for US market supporting 4G LTE bands on major US carriers
networks. White model is ALE-L21, which does not support US 4G LTE
networks. Correct item description is available from another seller:
http://www.amazon.com/HUAWEI-P8-ALE-L21-FACTORY-UNLOCKED/dp/B00W1KSGFI "
Certain phone companies don't support certain models.

That said, personally, I recommend Moto g4 for the same price.
There is the Zenfone 3 (Zenfone 2 is also phenomenal for the price) if you want a bigger screen.

I use the Zenfone 2 (have a 7 dollar 'case' with a plastic shield on top). I been using it for almost 2 years now and no issues. 16 gb i realize will be of a problem rather quickly so if you like having apps, just throw away any form of 16 gb all together. From 32 I guess meh.
That said, Huawei is a very credible phone in the Chinese market. Don't be scared to buy it. I just personally recommend Moto and Zenfone over it for similar price but ya, all budget phones!

tx. Yeh it had that 4g lite stuff. I checked em out but the cheap swedish retailer with mad fast orders dont have those brands. So I went with the huawei. It will basicly be a camera and mp3 player with google maps.

Can just move pics etc to lapop if it gets full or buy a new memory card

Huawei P8 Lite is good choice. But you can buy Xiaomi Redmi 3S. It cost the same money but better phone, trust me.

I have att and Travel a lot from the west to east coast. ATT SUCKS anywhere in the western part of the United States besides a city. Verizon has the best coverage I've noticed. any of those pay as you go services I have no clue though tongue

T-Mobile is pretty damn good (in the areas I tried) mostly in the East + major city.
->I tested it in Wisconsin (Madison, Milwaukee), Arizona (Phoenix, Tucson), Illinois (Chicago), New York, New Jersey

But ya, from my experience, Verizon is best overall too.
The only issue with Verizon is the cost is more than the other companies for a similar package.
Personally, I rarely call with my phone so...
https://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/other-prepaid-plans
$30 a month. UNLIMITED DATA, unlimited text message, 100 minutes of talking
Now, if you link your phone number to Google Hangout Call, you technically have unlimited talking too cause all phone calls and phone sends can be rerouted to your Google Hangout through unlimited data usage biggrin

Of course, if you have a family, at that point, family plans are probably best.
At least for me though, I personally love this plan as I am alone and ... I'm not into the calling life. My phone is more or less an Internet Browser + Music Player + Messenger + very short call/message.
