| Getting new comp, dad willing to spend $300-500. Any suggestions? Need something that won't fucking lag on wc3 especially during mass. ^^ thankssss
Tower only, we already have a moniter, mouse, keyboard, etc. Oh yeah, no refurbished comps (as in the Dell offer out right now) I would like something that I could go to BestBuy and purchase.
Careful fr00bs, I can actually play legit with this new comp

| Well it depends for what you need your computer. For example I use mine for programming more than for gaming so I have more powerful and faster processor and memory, than graphic card.
Dunno how can we help you, the best way is to contact market or whatever, where you want to buy it, ask them for the best config for you cuz after all they can give some kind of guarantee.

| I used to play WC3 on a laptop made in 2007. I had no lag whatsoever, even with full settings.
Take your pick xmonsterr:
~500$ Laptops
Whichever one you buy, I hope your massive lag won't go away.

| Don't mean the performance, it's just laptop layout isn't as good as desktop.

He has a monitor and a mouse/keyboard (both USB I presume) so it will have the same feel as a desktop.

| The main things to look for is firstly the processor type and 2ndly how much ram it has, if you are getting a new computer it will most likely have a video card that will more then suffice for warcraft.
A good amount of ram is like 5 gigabytes+ A good processor is sorta confusing tho because every type of machine uses different types of processors however for a dell you would be more then fast enough with a Pentium 4 processor, however if you can afford a 5 that would be even better I think the best one for dells is a 7 currently.
I dunno about the other machine types that much I have a gateway laptop but it's not fast enough in my opinion and it's using a core duo x2 processor with 3 gb of ram so if that's not very fast try to find something better then that if possible.
If your biggest concern is good game play you should probably not get a laptop, the reason is because it costs a lot more to get the better processors for laptops because they have to make them smaller and it costs more for them to make the smaller versions of the processors, also laptops can overheat, screens can easily break, if the keyboard breaks it's not just the keyboard that breaks it's the whole laptop in some cases.. If it was me and I was going to go get a new computer I would definitely not get a laptop unless I was going to get an alien-ware one but they cost a ton.

| A desktop will go further with your money, and you can custom build for cheaper and simpler. I think: AMD Phenom X4 Black 4GB Kingston HyperX RAM nVidia graphics cards have better depth in game, and pretty decent Patches to update, but ATI Radeon are cheaper and more in your price range I think. Doesn't matter what size the GFX card is, tryget one with a higher Shader version. And make sure you get a big enough PSU for it all lol. I think it's in your price range, havent checked thoroughly.
