mortars r good stooge. ive seen them at their highest. some noob sent darks in our base (15-20) i had bout 45 mortars. i knew i was gonna lose so i quickly got scroll and rune. Make sure i didnt die so quick. he atked i scrolled and killed his taurens LOL

Ya ranged Darks are the best. Dark Dryads are good for ranged killing of towers or bases while mortars impact more damage for range. It's perfect. I've seen battles where dark taurens AND knights couldnt take down mortars in a mass off. Mind you, ranged can get true shot and command aura. That there affects the gameplay in the end for me and helped me win battles.

Archers are feed to me lol I look at that tier and go yayayay! and send acid bombs and shiz onto them.

i can kill ur t4 mortars with 1 acid+ swarm even with upgrades but u cant kill dryads or taurens or knights with 1 acid +swarm. u'd have to do a 2nd acid or swarm to kill them. and attack wise t4 mortars lose to t4 taurens and even knights can take them down.

True, carrior waves kill mortars in one hit too. I love feeding off them but i'm the type of guy that doesn't build mortars anyway until I have enough for standard mortars and darks as I feed off them myself.

what the hell u guys talking about, mortars in 1 hit for acid and carrion where as dryads not.

lets see the difference

dryads t4 life 600-800?
upped mortars t4 life 1000-1200+?

where is the logic in that..

Mortars healthwise are always superior to NE, but they lack the range. Max upgrades max EXP dark mortars have over 3K life each along with devotion aura critical strike feedback etc.

Trixx: Skeleton warriors have exactly the same stats as Militia with only a few exceptions: They don't gain attack speed from racial, they do gain additional damage from racial, they have a worse armor type medium instead of heavy *Since the only unit really hitting magic damage is banshee anyways, and finally the cost one gets for killing them. Mass TP with Militia and you'll do just as well as you would have done with skeles.

Pound for pound, I always get better results with skeletons. Militia also have a slower base rate of attack than skeleton warriors, but I don't know which level of Animal War Training allows them to catch up.

Orc tier or mortars are the best, since they can upgrade life AND attack!

I know they can up life which is good but without the ups t4 morts are the weakest t4 imo, such a short range too. Dark morts are awesome though

I will say that dryads are the best t5 imo because LATE game u need that massive range for basekilling and taking out tower of terror.

U can upgrade hp amillion times on morts but if you have strong aoe blizz,nova,acid almost any tech is gona get demolished if the enemy heroes are unchecked.

i tried again yesterday...and u cant kill tier4 dryads with 1acid+swarm/nova, u have to cast again. but u can kill mortars even with 900-1000hp 1 single acid+swarm/nova.
the spell resistance in dryads pwn.

Stooge is right. i always feed of t 4 Dryads and it takes 2 spells to take them down for me while mortars it takes 1 carrior swarm wave.

Late game though, Terrors shouldnt be a problem for darks though. So I wouldnt rely on range because 10 mortars is enough to take down a terror without a problem.
