Tech to archers make sense only in versions, where you could upgrade range in tier 1.
In begining roots + long ranged archers is a good way to get a lot of hk, keeping archers safe from farming. (some melee summons like wolfs protected them well btw) In 3.4 chf they suck. Get banshees or berserks.
Btw we tried with Master hero to make dark berserks) it's pretty funny (but not against pro).
They have a huge ranged damage, a lot of hp and armor. If you have 1 aura on each ally (endurance, command, trueshot), than it is a real hell when they get 10/5/10. Mass tp, scroll of beast, switch berserk on and own )
