The reason as to why people say less micro in sc2 is because theres more ranged units than melee so its as if it does the work for you.
But if you actually played the micro is actually harder. There is less micro I agree, however in SC2 it is harder because everyone knows how.
Some sc2 commentaries all relied on micro winning the game for them. Ill even show you an example.
Look at 17:10 - 17:30, the micro was a factor.
Bottom line. WC3 more micro.
SC2, harder micro.
