Hey guys, I had an idea for a new game type that I think could be fun. If anyone's played fantasy baseball or something like that, it is similiar to how that works. In the beginning of the game, if people vote for -FSD(Fantasy skill draft), 36 normal skills would be randomly chosen by a computer and 12 ultimates, Then in random order, each player would pick a skill(In the second round of picking, the order would be reversed). Some complications would be if people want to buy a second hero later in game, or if someone doesn't get a hero in the beginning. Please respond with ideas on how to address those issues and if you think this could be a good idea or not. Thanks!
I've never played DOTA so I don't know how this idea compares to it, but the idea I have is that out of a random pool of 36 abilities, players would take turns picking until none are left.
yea thast what i was thinking. because in ARS sometimes you use your 3rd repick and you get shit. This mode would kind of be in between ars and normal because you can still design your hero to some extent but it won't be the same builds all the time.
!!! i love this mode and i love you balls < not gay..

you could disable all heros after mass to be bought, so everyone has an equal of 1 hero; and after the vote, everyone gets a hero without a choice, repick still applies. I'm here to help :D
its a neat idea but i can see a few possible problems with it like if out of those 36 norms or 12 ulti's lets say that last person to pick the last skill was a ranged and cleave was the last skill left to pick.. problems like that. modes controlling what spells ppl pick are really quick difficult, like CRT was harder than i expected.. -crt is kind similar to this though becuz 1 team picks their builds and its cloned to the rest of the teams. so unless complete noobs get to pick, the builds often make more sense than in ARS.
lol i think if u want to make all pick in order, u gotta wait a few hours till all are done maybe with be easier if theres just 36/12 skills in shop, that disappear when bought.. for the rest its cool idea ^^ and ye bond ... wouldnt be easy for the incompatible spells ): well... just gotta be fast then huh?

how about you could change the cleave on ranged heroes to something else? like with jaina and mana shield and panda's ulti
