*You guys are the best CHF community EVER victory so I'll share my idea with you all!*

*I know the following scenario will never happen, but hey: one can dream.* smile2

The earlier versions of CHF could be made available for editing (let’s say between 3.2-3.6), so that I (or somebody more competent) would:

- completely remove the code system
- make the first mass happen sooner (1 min. or more)
- remove all the modes (-ssd,-ars,-ftd,-6vs6,-ctf,-crt, etc.)
- remove around 10-20 overpowered spells
- reduce the 70+ heroes to 30-40, leaving only the balanced ones
- fix and brush up a few things here and there
- etc. etc. …the end result would be a map half the size of CHF 4.0

I’m sure a lot of people would try out and play a map like this. Simple CHF wink

the thing i would like to see is, instead of the huge mass, 2-4 waves instead or constant units being sent out every so often. the initial mass lag-rapes me and this is a disadvantage to any team im on(not just me, but alot of ppl also have this prob), but it would be a wasted effort as people wouldn't really play those versions as often, you would need a hostbot aswell to try to push it tho

you do realize this is something many ppl use to really love before fallen fuked it right? lol also many still do like it, and it helps keep balance and limits to things like ifi make it require 5 wins to vote -ssd then that will cut down on alot of pubs doing it so oten and stuff like that..

it happens at 3ish mins i think and even then sometimes new players are still picking while mass starts, also there would be no time for modes or side detail stuff. Be glad its not old foots where ppl use to sit and wait 7-8 mins and then finally mass and start the game.. lol

why do this?
i agree ssd and ars are not legit games but can be fun once in a great while problem is they got too popular somehow.. lol
6v6 (t1+t3 and t2+t4) is cool though and with knowledgeable players in the game CTF is amazing sometimes more fun than normal game. and -CRT is a more fair/balanced version of -ARS

some spells are just hard to balance. For example forcefield, can be seen as useless because it barely does damage, but on the other hand you can keep stuck evrything inside of it and make ur units untouchable.
same with spells like sleep/hex... alone its useless, but u can put like 4 heroes permanently asleep when its lvl 6, which makes it an ennoying spell, which doesnt add any fun to the game

other spells, for example explosion, killing pengs, night terror, granite without a problem are ennoying too.
same thing with mindrape, its true.. u dont get instant kill and its counterable... but u can use the enemy's items and spells, which can completely fuck enemies up... this goes with less than 3 mins cd at lvl 1 :/

just saying... some spells are just hard to balance and theres not always need for them, i know you probably wont remove any
the fact that the game is custom is what makes the game great, but at the same time IMPOSSIBLE to balance perfectly

Since these modes are dominating the chart now and not so much is being done too balance out combos and spells within these modes besides fixing glitches, well you probably get the point. Why make a mode only known for a mode when they should be known as alternative fun routes?

Ars too me is just plain bullshit. I can have a complete aoe combo while another person is stuck with 0 aoes and auras. I fucking wonder who's going too win that... More luck than actual skill. And Xmute in this mode? fuck don't get me started.

don't forget keeping standard heroes such as tinker/alchemist/wolf/sheep/bill/dragon/fox/DH(all others are just fine). i love ars but i totally agree with you. when someone does ars they need to do ssd in the game, and make it after every1 has used all 3 repicks so each player gets 6 repicks and as many teleports.

Yes, I realize what it does: it gives people who save codes (who are already better than 80% of the players) an even bigger advantage with special heroes. I'm sure all of the first-timers (and other less skilled players) who get absolutely demolished by stacked teams really appreciate the code system.

I know what it was like in old footmen maps, I played them all. I'm glad that the mass stars sooner in CHF. However, this happens in the extra minute that could be eliminated: pros start pulling out units from bases for some extra gold while the poor pubs are still deciding on some build that will never work. Yeah, we need the extra minute to enter codes and vote on modes. rolleyes

You're missing my point with the mode issue and it's something that you and me will not agree on. I'm fine with that.

could you add an option with 50-75% exp rate to -ssd? i think it would be nice for a change to lvl really slow tongue
