Nvidia and AMD isn't as optimal as ATI and AMD. Change your Nvidia for an ATI, or change your AMD for an Intel.

what are you planning on running at the same time with that much ram? the applications that use that much ram would probably require a ton of memory

Hey Legal, here's a few thoughts from me... First, (if you haven't already bought your parts) you should definitely buy from both amazon and newegg. Newegg is great, but they're not always the best price.. I saved about $80 buying components from both sites vs just newegg (and free amazon shipping helps too). I have that CM case that you got and it's great -- it has tons of space (but then again, why would I need 6 drive bays? biggrin ) . As a side note, if you're just playing wc3 a $200 graphics card is kinda overkill, you could probably go for something cheaper (same with RAM, you probably only need 6GB max, and 6GB is nice for 3x2GB tripple channel). And, if you're spending ~$1000, it seems silly to not get an ssd...

Good luck and enjoy your new compy happy

That CPU is outdated. Here's a much better one for the same amount of cash: link

Or you can buy a normal CPU: 195$

But then you need another MB: 130$

You don't need 16 gigs of RAM. You won't even use 6.

If you spend a 100 bucks on a Power Supply then buy a good one: 110$

All this hardware will feel slow unless you get an SSD: 110$

I thought you had experts putting your comp together, lulz

Here's a good setup for the same amount of money:

With all that said, spending 1000+ dollars on a comp just for gaming is a waste.

This setup is still better than your original system and is more than enough for you:

his clock speed is higher than that hex core and atm higher clock speed can be better than more cores as most applications hardly even take full advantage of 4 cores.

AMD can be just as good as Intel unless we're talking the maxed out i7 which i think is in the lead for companies http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116491
but you do get a bigger bang for your buck with AMD

his price range was 1500 mAx.. so i figured why not lol

coolmaster is a better brand for power and is same rated specs but its 750watt vs 650 O.o?

ssd's are not fully stable yet and too many reviews of them failing over time unless you spend the extra buck for higher end, but both ssd's and HD's are over priced lately becuz of what happened in Thailand losing 40% of industry.
also with the 3gb/s connection that will bottleneck anyway HD's can run at that speed too and 6gb/s, and large transfers will run just as well seek times are the slightly lower side to them.

his was better and cost $910

a 200 buck vcard is overkill let alone a $500 one tongue
also for many applications its better to just have 1 good card instead of 2 with ati crossfire or nvidia sli, my friend had that and it ran weird with certain things, some games its great but over all probably not worth it.

If you spend 150+ bucks on a CPU, then buy an Intel. Why? Because Intel > AMD

Corsair is a better brand for power. His setup will barely consume 500 Watts at full load, even with an SLI setup.

Both setups on the screenshots are better value than yours.

Take out one graphics card (-240) and you get a solid machine for a thousand bucks.

Yeah, but if he went AMD, you'd be better off getting him 2x HD4650 in crossfire, his rig has the power for it.
